Korean Independence Day with the Sejong Academy

Anyang!

Celebrating independence day in any culture is a blast, especially when it’s in conjunction with an ambitious new project.  We were privileged enough to have our own Jeehun Kim represent CLV and the Korean Language Village at an event that was intended to raise money and support for the Sejong Academy, the first complete Korean immersion school in the US.  The goal is to open its doors by the fall of 2012 right here in Minneapolis.  In order for that to happen, they need a lot of help from the Korean community and other generous donors.  When the school opens, it will be K-8, with the goal of expanding to full K-12 in the years ahead.  To read more about the academy, read here.

Happy Independence Day!

Jeehun did a fantastic job promoting our KLV, and especially the Family Weekend at the Forest in Marine on St. Croix.  Hopefully, with cooperation from the Sejong Academy, we will be able to promote our fantastic immersion programs as the ideal summer compliment to their institution.

Thank you and keep reading!
